You are invited to attend the release of the findings of DCA's landmark study on cultural diversity, sponsored by Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, ANZ, Mallesons Stephen Jaques and Goldman Sachs, at a special event hosted by ANZ in Melbourne on 6 December 2011.
In today’s global economy, Australian organisations are increasingly turning overseas to access new markets and business opportunities. In this context, international experience, global mindsets and inter-cultural capability are increasingly valued in senior executive ranks for their capacity to generate the market insight, connections and innovation organisations need to thrive and grow in complex local and international operating environments.
But just how culturally diverse are Australian organisations, especially at senior levels and in the immediate leadership pipeline? And how can we best measure this cultural diversity? DCA's Cultural Diversity Survey has measured cultural diversity amongst senior leadership teams in the 'Big 4' accounting and business services firms (i.e. Deloitte, Ernst & Young, KPMG, PwC) and ANZ's Australian-based business.
The findings will be launched by Senator Kate Lundy, Parliamentary Secretary for Immigration and Multicultural Affairs. The event will be facilitated by Waleed Aly, a prominent broadcaster, writer and academic, who was recognised with the Victorian Local Hero award in the 2011 Australian of the Year Awards Program, for his work in fostering cross-cultural understanding in our community.
